Comtrade

COMTRADE (Common format for Transient Data Exchange for power systems) is a file format for oscilloscope data. It is used by many companies for recording oscilloscopes and computer simulations used in high voltage substation design. The COMTRADE file format has been standardised by the IEEE.

There are various proprietary viewer including an ABB and a Sofsstuf viewer. There are also free viewers like TOP and GTPPLOT as well as some custom made ones including Powel Comtrade Viewer.
