It is located between the rivers Río Arapey Grande and the Río Arapey Chico, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Ruta 4. About 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) west of the village, there is a monument to Juan Antonio Lavalleja. The former name of the area it occupies was Migliaro y Lluveras.[1]
