Plot summary

In this episode, Detectives Goren and Eames are investigating the death of a toy collector who was accidentally shot by the police.

At first, Goren and Eames suspect that the victim might have fallen prey to a conniving woman who trolls sci-fi and vampire conventions. They also find her connection with a death-obsessed secret society that may be involved with the murders.

When the woman is found dead, the detectives discover that she looked for lonely men who would financially assist her, especially those who have amassed rare and valuable collections desired by fans.

Finally, Goren and Eames can provide an element of ambiguous complexity that can be further explored in the intimacy and trust of the selected club her latest victim belonged to.
