Baldizzone & Tabell, 2007[1]Coleophora bogdoensis is a moth of the Coleophoridae family. It is found in the Schibendy valley in the southern Ural Mountains and the Baskunzak salt lake in the Lower Volga region of Russia. It has also been recorded from north-western Kazakhstan.
The wingspan is about 12.5 mm. Adults have a light brown head and thorax mixed with whitish scales. The forewings are creamy white, striped with pale brown, wholly sprayed with brown and blackish brown scales forming a dark spot. The fringes are light greyish brown, although the inner costal ones are whitish. The hindwings are light greyish brown, with fringes of the same colour, although apically they are whitish.[2]
Etymology
The specific name refers to the village Bogdo, which is situated close to the place where the majority of the type material was collected.
