Colchicum byzantinum Scientific classification Kingdom: Plantae (unranked): Angiosperms (unranked): Monocots Order: Liliales Family: Colchicaceae Genus: Colchicum Species: C. byzantinum Binomial name Colchicum byzantinum Colchicum byzantinum is a species with a long history of cultivation, and no certain place of origin, which means it could be a hybrid of other species.
