Colchester Borough Homes is a British limited company that operates as an arms length management organisation (ALMO). It is owned by Colchester Borough Council.^[1] It operates in and around Colchester, Essex. It was established on 1 August 2003,^[2] in order to secure further government funding for a Decent Homes programme.^[3]

The Audit Commission gave Colchester Borough Homes a 'good' rating in July 2007 with 'promising prospects for improvement'. It identified strengths in "customer care, quality of major works, resident involvement and prevention of anti-social behaviour" but weak asset management planning and too long void relet times.^[4] At that time, Colchester Borough Homes managed 6,395 properties owned by Colchester Borough Council, receiving a management fee of £3.1 million, and with control over a Council repair budget of £4.5 million and capital budget of £16.8 million.^[2]
