Bob Sheridan, nicknamed Colonel Bob Sheridan, is a boxing and MMA commentator. He has broadcast over 10,000 fights on radio and television, with 890 world title fights.[1][2] Most recently, the Ivan Calderon-Giovanni Segura bout in August 2010.
Known[by whom?] for his no-nonsense Boston-style and his ability to capture excitement and craft compelling in-match storylines, Sheridan also announced several of Muhammad Ali's title fights, including the Rumble in the Jungle against George Foreman and the Thrilla in Manila which saw Ali take on Joe Frazier. He anchored telecasts for Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield's bouts. He was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 2004.[3] He was also the first, last and only play-by-play man in the history of the Bodog Fight Promotion, doing fights along side Paul Lazenby and Royce Gracie.
