Pressure=The season started early, with a tropical storm forming in the western Caribbean on June 12. After passing Cuba, it hit Apalachee Bay on the Florida Panhandle as a minimal tropical storm.

Pressure=The next storm formed over Tabasco, Mexico on June 21. After moving offshore, it steadily strengthened to an 80 mph hurricane before making landfall near Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pressure=After an almost three month break, the third storm formed in the tropical Atlantic. Pressure=The fourth storm of the season had its origins over the eastern Pacific in early October. After crossing the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, the storm rapidly strengthened to a Category 2 hurricane, but weakened to a tropical storm by the time it hit Pensacola, Florida on October 11.
