Details Armiger Fredericton, New Brunswick Adopted c. 1850s Escutcheon contained within the shield is a cross and three shields: Union Jack, shield derived from the fields of the Royal Arms and a shield with a fir tree evergreen on a blue background Motto Fredericopolis Silvae Filia Nobilis - Fredericton noble daughter of the forest The coat of arms of Fredericton is the full armorial achievement as used by the municipal government as an official symbol. It was designed by Dr. James Robb, professor of Chemistry at King's College around 1849 to 1850s.[1]
