(Linnaeus, 1758)Acanthurus lineatus also known as a Striped Surgeon is a Tang from the Indo-Pacific. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 38 cm in length. Like all tangs it is laterally compressed. It is light colored on the underside with blue and yellow stripes on the upper half of its body.
