Leoni KircherCindy Sizer, a play on words from the English word synthesizer, is an electronic music band from Weimar, Germany. The group was formed by Philipp Camille Schopefer and Tilman Porschuetz in 2004. The signature Cindy Sizer sound combines pumpy and cheesy synth melodies that lack quantization. With Cindy's computer voice as the signature sound, hits like "Woopecker" and "Cindy Heisser" references to popular dance music culture. Put in the context of fashion shows or galleries, their music appears arty with references to Freejazz and Noise Music. They have been touring and collaborating with a variety of media artists and engineers such as the video collective MXZEHN, Hana Hanako, Alexander Klose, Tosa Nabumichi|Meywa Denki, James Powderly|GRL, and producers suchs as Carlson Badu|Krause Duo 2. Touring South Korea they played in collaboration with the total art collective EE that gained a lot of attention due the success of EE lead-singer Lee Yun Jeong's as an idol star in the early 2000s. Proclaiming to be "Der Schlechte Mozart" (the bad Mozart) the East-German duo is experimenting with popular culture, sonic warfare, and spirituality in performances and concerts and even take money for it.
"Cindy Sizer is primarily a live band. The relationship with the audience is a key aspect of their dance music.."[1]
