Playing career
The Kinsale GAA and Leeside Lions clubman played for the Ireland national Australian rules football team in the 2005 Australian Football International Cup, in Melbourne and returned with the team for the 2008 Australian Football International Cup, reaching the semi finals on both occasions. He went on to captain the Ireland team that won the 2011 Australian Football International Cup and the 2010 European Championships in Australian Football. He was also selected on the International Cup All-Star Team in 2005.[2][3][4][5][6]
