The Companhia das Letras is a Brazilian publisher founded in 1986 with headquarters in Sao Paulo. Founded by Luiz Schwarcz, who had experience working in Publisher Brasiliense, and his wife Lilia Moritz Schwarcz, had as one of the first 4 books To the Finland Station, Edmund Wilson, sales success that propelled the publisher, and the first twelve months of existence, has released 48 titles.
