Prince-Bishop Christoph Franz von Buseck was the last prince-bishop of the former Bishopric of Bamberg. He was born on December 28, 1724 in Jagstberg, Germany. He was appointed to the position of Bishop of Bamberg on April 7, 1794 and was took the position on August 16, 1795. In 1796, when Bamburg was invaded by the French, von Buseck fled to Prague and When the French invaded Prague, he fled to Saalfeld.[1] He didn't return to Bamburg until 1802. Later that year, he was deposed because of Bavaria's annexation of Bamberg. Christoph died on September 28, 1805 in Bamberg.[2]
