Christine Bentley is a Canadian news anchor for CTV Toronto. She has been a part of the CTV News family since 1977.
Bentley started as a general assignment reporter, soon assigned to City Hall and later Queen's Park. Her next career move took her behind the anchor desk, which she shares with Ken Shaw on CTV News at Noon & 6:00 p.m. Bentley has been chosen "Woman of the Year" by Consumers' Choice Awards Canada, an organization that promotes business excellence in the GTA and across the country. An active member of the community, Bentley has served on the Board of Governors for Centenary Health Centre for more than a decade, and she has been active with numerous charities, including Toy Mountain and the Canadian Cancer Society. Currently, Bentley sits on the board of the Children's Wish Foundation.
One of Bentley's early assignments, during the tenure of CFTO News Director Ted Stuebing, was her foray into the Ontario countryside to report on which make for better jack 'o lanterns, male or female pumpkins.
She is the mother of Canadian hiphop music producer/audio engineer DJ Swivel (born Jordan Young in 1984). This fact was mentioned by CFTO anchor desk reporter Andria Case during an installment of the CFTO news at noon.
