Christina Reid

Christina Reid (born 1942, Ardoyne, Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a playwright.^[1]

Life

She graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast.^[2] She was a writer-in-residence at the Lyric Theatre,^[3] and at the Young Vic.^[4] She is mother to 3 daughters Heidi, Tara and Suibhan.

Awards

• Thames Television Playwriting Award for "Tea in a China Cup"
• 1980 Ulster Television Drama Award, "Did You Hear the One About the Irishman?"
• 1986 George Devine Award for "The Belle of the Belfast City"
