Early life
Christina is the grand niece of 1959 [1] Nobel Prize winner Severo Ochoa, and daughter of acclaimed Spanish sculptor Victor Ochoa. Her entire life she was surrounded by members of both the scientific and artistic world. After graduating she went on to study Oceanographic Engineering at Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria, off the coast of Africa in the Canary Islands and advanced Marine Biology studies in James Cook University in Australia. She soon after started gaining increasing interest in performance arts and writing. She has since successfully worked on both mediums consistently.
Theatre and Film
Christina Ochoa started acting as a hobby in theatrical plays in Washington D.C., at the Little Theatre of Alexandria and soon decided to pursue a career in performance arts. Soon after she moved to Madrid in order to professionally study and work as an actress. She is quoted in saying: "Science was all my life...But when I got on stage for the first time, there was a void inside me that was suddenly filled..one I hadnt even known was empty."
From there Christina moved on to work on TV (credits include La que se avecina in Spain and I hate my Teenage Daughter, for Warner Bros. in the US), Film ( Contact@me, Cats Dancing on Jupiter) and Theater.
She is the founder and owner of QE Productions (QE stands for Quantum Entanglement) in early 2011, responsible for STAY WITH ME, which has won awards in numerous Film Festivals both in Europe and the US, including several BEST SHORT, and BEST ACTRESS in a short film given to Christina Ochoa at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.[2]
Writing
Christina Ochoa has written articles for several publications. Her first published work was featured in VOGUE MAGAZINE[3] Spain. She has regular spreads featured in H MAGAZINE in Hollywood,[4] CA where she focuses on profile pieces and book reviews. She also has a monthly Film Column in Spanish national[5] newspaper El Imparcial.
As a side note, she is also attributed story credit[6] for "STAY WITH ME".
Science & Academics
After graduating she went on to study Oceanographic Engineering at Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria, off the coast of Africa in the Canary Islands. Following that she moved on to continue with her advanced Marine Biology studies in James Cook University in Australia. Her focus when studying was mainly in Elasmobranchii, group which includes Sharks and rays. She is currently studying Physics in the Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED) and has also been an active member of MENSA high- I.Q. group since 2009.
