- Christianity in Kano State
-
Christianity is a minority in Nigerian Kano State, where Sharia is valid. The conflict between religions in Nigeria takes place in the state, too.[1] Since 2006, even Christian schoolgirls of private schools have to wear the veil. [2] Churches and villages in the state have been torn down after the 2011 presidential election. [3] [4] About 3000 Christians died due to sectarian violence in and around Kano in 2004. [5] All Christian church services were forbidden in 2003. [6]
