Pan-European activities

In 1987, at the peak of the cold war, the congress “Universities in the eastern and western dialog” was held. Realising the incredible potential of a real “united Europe from Gibraltar until the Ural Mountains, Christian Marolt and some other students founded the “Organisationskommittee Pro Europa - Organising Committee Pro Europe”, a movement devoted to a united Europe based on friendship. The main aim of this Committee was and is to support a free and united Europe with the motto: “European Politicians performing European politics but only pan-European friends will form friendship and understanding in Europe”. Christian Marolt is acting since its foundation as European Chairman and President in Belgium.

The most visible happenings under the patronage of the Committee is the Europaball (http://www.europaball.org/), one of the foremost summer events in Europe today. At the start in 1990, the proceeds of the Ball went towards supporting social projects in the former Eastern European countries. However, since 2003, the Ball has been supporting the Meningitis Trust in the UK, being thus organised in the loving memory of the baby girl Chiara Jane Elizabeth Marolt. Every year, some 250 guests from all corners of Europe, are travelling to Velden/ Wörthersee (Austria) for this exclusive event.

Event cocooning and mARolTographie

Already with 14 Christian Marolt organised his first event. He was creating the “Pirate Party”, one of the wildest Wörther See events, in the mid of the 80s until mid of the 90s, “Die Poltergeisternacht”, a magic ghost party in Güssing Castle, Burgenland. Others where “Die Resi und der Alpensepp” in Bad Gastein, "Starship Hollywood", "A magic night in black and white", “SommerCarneval” and his most fabulous “Roman Orgies”.

Another passion is his passion for great photos. Based on the advanced Lomo understanding he has developed his own style: mARolTographie.
