CFDb is designed to be a Christian version of the Internet Movie Database, and it was founded in 2008 by Roger Rudlaff.[1] Rudlaff had previously created the Wayhouse Christian Film Library, a library that lent Christian movies to the public.[2]
As of January 1, 2010, there are approximately 1,250 films listed on CFDb, with more added weekly.[3] Rudlaff said, "I list many formats, like 16mm, VHS, DVD, and now Blu-Ray."[4]
