Christian Cox (born December 11, 1985, in Bountiful, Utah) is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots. He was not drafted in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Utah.

Early years

Cox attended Bountiful High School in Bountiful, Utah.

From 2005-2007 he served a 2 year mission for the LDS church in Brazil.

College Career

Cox appeared in 30 games in his three year career for the Utes and finished with 84 tackles and 9.5 sacks. After his senior year he was awarded 1st team All-Mountain West. Cox was a walk on for the Utes and reshirted his freshman season.

New England Patriots

After going undrafted Cox was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent on August 2, 2011. During the preseason Cox was placed on the Patriots injured reserve.
