Christ Church Boys' Senior Secondary School is one of the major private schools in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is an English medium school that is well known for its excellent educational priorities. The school currently has about 3000 students. At present, the school functions under the Church of North India, Diocese of Jabalpur. The Rt. Rev. Dr. P.C.Singh, Bishop of Jabalpur Diocese is the Chairman. The Christ Church School had its beginnings in the vestry of Christ Church in the year 1870 and was then known as Christ Church School. The school today is 140 years old. It was in 1869 that Rev. William Barker Drawbridge was appointed as the Chaplain of Christ Church. It was he who labored to fulfill a long felt need i.e. a School for European, Anglo-Indian and children of those on Civil Duties on the British Pay Role. And so apparently the School began on June 1, 1870 in the vestry of Christ Church and moved to a small historical chapel but inside the Christ Church Boy's Senior Secondary School. Some of the present old School building is or around 1876. As the schools remained closed for the summer, November 1 - All Saints Day, became a convenient date to commemorate the Founder and all those who laboured for the building of the Christ Church Schools. It is now celebrated as the Founder's Day. As the school continued to grow in number, a great need for more classrooms was felt by all. It was in January 1986 , that Bishop F.C.Jonathan, took over as the Chairman of the school's Governing Body. It was under his leadership and during the principalship of Mrs K.F Jonathan that the school flourished and a master plan for the school was conceived called "The Education Expansion Programme". The school aims at the wholesome development of the personality beside building an excellent base in academics and extramural attainments. Christ Church Boys' School is more than 140 years old . Through the years the school has grown in size , number , strength and character . As of old , the school enjoys to this day , the distinction of being one the leading schools not only in the city but also in Madhya Pradesh. the current principal of the boys school is mr. ladlie mathews.e
Christ Church Boys Senior Secondary School is a school in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India, that functions under Church of North India's Board of Education. The school was established in 1876 and is the most reputed in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The school was founded on the 1st of November 1876 by the late Rev. Drawridge. The school originally started with 3-4 students and currently there are over 3,000 students being educated at the school. There are 101 members on the teaching and office staff.[1]
