Personal life
Barnett was born in Spain before he moved to Germany and Colorado before his MMA career.[1] Barnett's brother, Curtis, won USA Taekwondo's Middleweight Championship and earned a chance to try out for the U.S. Olympic Taekwondo Team.
Boxing Career
On August 12, 2011 Barnett made his professional boxing debut at One Punch Productions: Ballroom Brawl in Tampa, Florida against Mike Greeson and won by knockout in the 2nd round.[2]
MMA Career
He made his professional MMA debut in April 2009. He is currently 7-1 as a professional. Chris' lone loss came against Brock Lesnar's training partner, Eric Prindle, in Singapore. He fought on a weeks notice and came in around 50 lbs more than what he usually fights at.[3]
Xtreme Fighting Championship
He was the XFC Florida Open Fighter Tryout Winner.[4] In his first professional fight, Barnett fought Johnathan Ivey at XFC 8 - Regional Conflict on April 25, 2009. Barnett was making his professional debut, while Ivey had 66 fights and he still won the fight via unanimous decision.
