Chowder Collie Traits Classification and standards Dog (Canis lupus familiaris) A chowder collie is a mixed dog breed of Chow Chow and Border Collie. They are well known throughout the canine world as good pets.[1]
Characteristics
Chower Collies usually are a mix of black and grey, to make a nice silverback fur. The body shape has been known to retain the feature of a Border Collie, while having a fluffy Chow's tail and a spotted tongue. They are known to have an ample amount of microfur, much of which sheds at a rapid pace. Their fur is extremely soft and thick.[2]
Behavior
Chowder Collies, although the combined personalities of rowdy Border Collies and aggresive Chows, are quite tame, espicially around other dogs. They are also known to be very loving and caring dogs, however they are also very protective, thanks to the Chow genetics.[3]
