Categories

Office chairs can be classified by type of materials used, for instance leather, polyurethane, or fabric; intended user, such as director, executive, or staff; or intended location, such as open style office, conference room, reading room, library, and so on. Office chairs may be used, for instance, by businesses or government.

Basic components

An office chair comprises a number of components, such as the back, the seat, armrests, a gas cylinder for height adjustment, the base, and casters.
