Chi Linh is known as a very beautiful country with six rivers converging, with hills, mountains, forests... The capital of the district is Sao Do (Red Star).
There are a lot of beautiful temples and pagodas in Chi Linh. Many of them concerning with Vietnam's National Heros: Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Chu Van An. Con Son and Kiep Bac pagodas are famous all over Vietnam.
One of the best golf courses in North Vietnam, Star Golf, was opened in Sao Do in 2003.
Pha Lai, the biggest thermal power plant in North Vietnam is located in this district.
As of 2003 the district had a population of 149,555.[1] The district covers an area of 281 km². The district capital lies at Sao Do.[1]
