Chester A. Fowler

Chester A. Fowler (December 24, 1862-April 8, 1948) was a judge in the state of Wisconsin.

Biography

Fowler was born Chester Almeron Fowler on to Franklin Dwight and Maria Fowler in Rubicon, Wisconsin.^[1] On May 30, 1892 he would marry Carrie J. Smith. He graduated from what is now the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and taught school. He studied law in Iowa and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. He then practiced law in Omaha, Nebraska until returning to Wisconsin with his law partner.^[2]

Career

Fowler was a circuit judge in Wisconsin from 1905 to 1929. Later he would serve on the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 1929 to 1948.
