Cherdynsky Uyezd (Russian: Чердынский уезд) – a former administrative unit of Perm Governorate, Russian Empire. It existed before 1923, administrative center was city Cherdyn.
Geography
It was located in northwest part of Governorate, its area was 70,790 km². It was bordered with Vologda Governorate (to the north and northwest), Tobolsk Governorate (to the northeast), Vyatka Governorate (to the west) and also with Solikamsky and Verkhotursky Uyezds of Perm Governorate.
Kama River divided uyezd into two parts: mostly flat west and mostly hilly and mountainous east.
Population
According 1897 Census population of uyezd was 101,265 (49,292 male and 51,973 female).
