The Chateau Aeroport-Mirabel (officially Le Chateau de L'Aeroport-Mirabel) was a resort themed hotel at the Mirabel International Airport in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. It was located beside the airport's main terminal building, connected by an indoor passageway. It closed in 2002 and is vacant.

History
Owned in 1977 by Canadian Pacific Hotels (then "Le Chateau de L'Aeroport") it operated for 25 years. It was renowned for its large indoor atrium style foyer with fully grown palm trees, garden foliage and swimming pool. Most rooms had windows that overlooked the atrium, with its tropical environment. It also had a glass elevator and terraced restaurant. The design was patterned after CP Hotels' Red Oak Inns concept. High season was November to May.[1]
Accommodating passengers departing on early morning flights out of Mirabel airport, due to the airport's distance from Montreal,[2] the 344 room and 11 suite complex was located directly across from the airport terminal.
The hotel was a victim of the airport's decline. On August 26, 2002, facing increasing vacancies due to Mirabel Airport's dwindling usage, it closed. The airport ceased operations as a commercial hub in 2004.
Since closing
As of October 2009 the Canadian Forces has made use of the now vacant former hotel building for training. It was photographed; the first view of the hotel's interior since 2002. It has remained intact, with bare beds, televisions, phones and pictures still in place. The pool pump still works and the kitchen has its appliances. Palm trees in the atrium have their foliage. There is no water or electricity to much of the building[3]. July 2010 ADM hinted at a new tenant for the hotel and administration building. An announcement will be made fall 2010.[4].
