Charlotte Eagar is a foreign correspondent,[citation needed] investigative journalist, and travel writer. Whilst working for a variety of British newspapers and magazines, including The Observer, the Sunday Telegraph, The Spectator, Harpers & Queen, and The Times Magazine, she has written stories from such diverse places as Sarajevo, Baghdad, Moscow, and Rome. She is co-founder and a trustee of Schools4Schools, a charity currently working to reconstruct schools in Pakistan.[1] Eagar is writing a novel set in Rome during World War II. Her first novel, The Girl in the Film, offers an intimate portrayal of life during the siege of Sarajevo and was published in 2008.[2]
