Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyaar is an Indian television series that airs on Sony TV since February 28, 2011. The story is about a romantic love experience on the terrace of old Delhi between the daughter of home owner and the son of tenant. The series portrays culture, lifestyle and tradition of old Delhi through the story.

Plot

Based in Delhi, this story deals with two families, the Sehgal’s and the Tripathiis, living under the same roof as owners and tenants. There are various colorful characters sharing different emotions and bonds of friendship, animosity, love, hate, conspiracy, trust and respect.

The story starts with Ginny and Dhruv, who are best friends and share a love-hate relationship and through them we establish the rest of the family members. Dhruv’s youngest sister, Megha gets married. At the sangeet ceremony Dimpy (Ginny’s elder sister) and Daksh (Dhruv’s elder brother) perform on a song. This gives an idea to the fathers and they convince their wives to get the two married. However, on the wedding day, Daksh ditches the wedding and gets married to his manipulative boss, who plays the villain's role.

All the while, Ginny and Dhruv fall in love with each other but can't tell their family members because they are waiting for the right time. In a twist, their families decide to get Dhruv and Dimpy married, thinking Dhruv will keep her happy, which brings Dhruv's and Ginny's love to a complete halt. Ginny decides to sacrifice her love for the sake of her older sister. Dhruv is not happy about this but he silently agrees to get married to Dimpy despite still being in love with Ginny. Thus, the wedding preparations begin. They get married and Lipika will ruin everything. After a while, Dimpy gets to know about Dhruv and Ginny's Sacrifice.She decides to divorce Dhruv so he can stay happily with Ginny. But Dhruv refuses to divorce her and tells Dimpy that he wants to give their relationship one more chance.He also explains her that no one will be happy after their divorce-Neither He himself nor Ginny, Not even Dimpy herself and not the family member too.

Finally in the last episode, Dimpy keeps fast for Dhruv's Well being. Ginny feels happy to see everybody happy. A new neighbour comes from his chajja to their chajja and introduces himself as Rohan. He starts flirting with Ginny and Pammi aunty tells Ginny that the lad is very good.

Characters

• Ginny Sehgal: Shambhavi Sharma has played the character of Ginny Sehgal in Chaje Chaje Ka Pyar. She was earlier seen in ROADIES. Ginny is a soft-spoken intelligent girl. She is responsible towards each and every relation. She is the female protagonist of the serial.

• Dhruv Tripathi: Manish has played the character of Dhruv Tripathi in Chaje Chaje Ka Pyar on Sony TV. He is the male protagonist of this serial. He is a modern guy. He lives his life as carefree person. Ginni is his best friend. Now married to Dimpy Sehgal.

• Dimpy Dhruv Tripathi Sehgal: Neha Janpandit has played the character of Dimpy Sehgal in Chaje Chaje Ka Pyar TV serial. Earlier, she was seen in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. Now married to Dhruv Tripathi

• Dinanath Tripathi: Virendra Saxena has played the character of Dinanath Tripathi in Chaje Chaje Ka Pyar serial. He is known as Hitler by his son – Dhruv. Earlier Virendra Saxena was seen in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.

• Dhairya Tripathi: Mazher Sayed has played the character of Dhairya Tripathi in Chaje Chaje Ka Payar. Recently, he was seen in Rakht Sambandh.

• Avtaar Sehgal: Kiran Kumar has played the character of Avtaar Sehgal in Chaje Chaje Ka Payar. He is seen as a matured person in this serial. He believes in living simple life with high thinking.

• Roopa Tripathi: Dipti Dhayani has played the character of Roopa Tripathi in Chaje Chaje Ka Payar TV serial. She is the Bahu of new age. She loves watching serial.
