Djevdet Bey, Jevdet Bey, Cevdet Belbez[1] (Modern Turkish: Cevdet Bey ) was the governor of the Van vilayet of the Ottoman Empire during World War I. He governed from 1914 until the evacuation of Muslims from Van Province in May 1915.[2] He succeeded Governor Tahsin Bay.
He was portrayed by Elias Koteas in the 2002 film Ararat.
He was the brother-in-law of Enver Pasha[1].
