Arya Kanya Gurukul situated at Porbandar, Gujarat, is one of the premier Girls K-12 Boarding School of India.[1][2][3]
The school complex is set amidst sprawling 90 acre sylvan surroundings, is dedicated to female education in modern India. The school was set up in 1936 by noted Gujarati Industrialist and Philanthropist, Shri Nanji Kalidas Mehta, the founder of Mehta Group.[1][4][2][5][3]
The education system at Gurukul is a blend of rich ancient Vedic heritage and modern educational systems with an orientation towards science and technology.[1][2][6][7][3]
The students of the school have been blessed by honored dignitaries like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Giani Zail Singh, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Morarji Desai, Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and more recently, the current President Mrs. Pratibha Patil.[1][8]
