Aruppukkottai taluk is a taluk of Virudhunagar district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Aruppukkottai.
Population
According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Aruppukottai had a population of 223,281 with 110,904 males and 112,377 females. There were 1013 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 77.91. The total number of households was 55,556.
