The show follows three young girls - Tess Taylor, 21, Alexis Neiers, 19, and Gabby Neiers, 16 - as they make their way into the Hollywood social scene.[1] The girls and their family initially reside in Westlake Village, California, but eventually move to Hollywood. Their mother is a former lingerie model who helps manage Tess's and Alexis's failing careers in modeling (Taylor is a Playboy Cyber Girl).[2]
In summer 2009, after the pilot was filmed, Alexis was arrested for being involved with a group that broke into the homes of many celebrities, including Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, and Rachel Bilson. Pretty Wild will partly chronicle Alexis's trial.
On May 10, 2010, Alexis pled no contest to felony burglary and was sentenced to up to six months in Los Angeles County Jail. Her sentence was scheduled to begin June 24, 2010.[3] will not be renewed for a second season.[4]

- Tess Taylor is the 21-year-old adopted daughter of Andrea Arlington. She is pursuing a modeling career and is a Playboy Cyber Girl.
- Alexis Neiers is the 18-year-old daughter of Arlington. Also pursuing a modeling career, she tries to clear her name after an arrest related to "Bling Ring" thefts.
- Gabby Neiers is 16-year-old younger sister of Alexis.
- Andrea Arlington is the 45-year-old mother of Alexis and Gabby. She is a former 1980s lingerie model who manages Tess' and Alexis' modeling careers.
- Jerry Dunn is Andrea's husband and stepfather of Alexis and Gabby
