George Anthony Legh Keck was born in
Soughton , Leicestershire and was the son of Anthony James Keck and his wife Elizabeth (knee Legh). Elizabeth is from the Legh family that lived atLyme Hall atLyme Park , Cheshire.Career
Legh Keck Represented Leicester in five consecutive parliaments from 1797 to 1831.

Sir Edmund Cradock-Hartopp, 1st Baronet was joint Members of the Great Britain Parliament for Leicestershire with Legh Keck.1801–1806 both again where joint Members of The United Kingdom Parliament for Leicestershire.
Personal Life
In 1832 Legh Keck decided to rebuild
Bank Hall which was the mansion house on his estate in the village ofBretherton in Lancashire. To do so he employedGeorge Webster (Architect) to design and complete the renovations of Bank Hall which work on site took a whole year to complete.Legh Keck married his cousin Elizabeth Atherton who died in 1837.
Legh Keck died on the 4th September 1860 at Bank Hall and is buried at Stoughton Church.
George Anthony and Elizabeth Legh Keck did not have any children, so both the estates of Lyme Hall and Bank Hall then passed on to Thomas Powys ("Lord Lilford III"). Thomas Atherton Powys (Lord Lilford V) inherited the estates after the death of his father (Lord Lilford III). The House contents of Bank Hall where auctioned off over a three day period at the house. (
