The Campaign
The campaign aims to reduce homophobic slang among youth, and educate parents and teachers on how to create a safe environment for LGBT teens. [cite web|url=http://thinkb4youspeak.com/TheCampaign/|title=The Campaign |date=2008-10-08 |accessdate=2008-10-09] GLSEN and Ad Council have reported that over half of all students have heard homophobic remarks being said often at school, and 9 out 10 LGBT students have been harassed at school over the last year. [cite web|url=http://thinkb4youspeak.com/GetInformed/|title=Get Informed |date=2008-10-08 |accessdate=2008-10-09] The Campaign has encouraged students to get involved, by starting a Gay-Straight Alliance, creating a safer environment for LGBT students.
