Crăciun

Crăciun is the Romanian word for Christmas. The etymology is disputed (see Korochun), but it does not appear to be from Latin, although a Latin etymology was proposed. Crăciun is also used as a given name and more commonly as a surname among Romanians. The Romanian name for Santa Claus is Moş Crăciun , literally "Old Man Christmas".
