UNIT Post Production is an award-winning [http://www.unit.tv/recent_work_uk.php?i=2008] [http://www.unit.tv/pr_press_uk.php?id=8] post-production and visual effects company launched in 2006. It was the first entirely Apple-based, all High-Definition post production facility, and it is the largest of its kind in the UK [ [http://www.apple.com/uk/pro/profiles/unit/ Apple profile] ] . UNIT's facilities include 18 online suites, grading, 5.1 audio, and UNIT Effects, a 3D/CGI and 2D special effects department. The company is based in Soho, London. The company caters for commercials, corporates, digital media, film and broadcast. Initially conceived as a dry-hire facility, the company is now a full service facility with a dedicated team of in-house creative and technical personnel. Instead of the previous generation of expensive turnkey systems, UNIT uses off-the shelf software and hardware, including Final Cut Pro, Maya, After Effects, and Shake to achieve similar results. UNIT operates around a 120TB central storage system, based on Apple's Xsan, which allows for a tapeless and collaborative workflow.

Recent campaigns include Look Magazine for Grey, Sky HD “Believe in Better” (Promax Gold Winner 2008 [http://www.unit.tv/recent_work_movie.php?id=12] ), Sony Retail, MTV, Toshiba and Nokia. Other clients include Mazda, Virgin, Volkswagen, Toyota and Canon. Broadcast clients include the BBC, Sky One HD, National Geographic, Turner, CNN, Nickelodeon, Discovery, Channel 5 and ITV.
