Kerpen is director of policy at Americans for Prosperity [http://www.americansforprosperity.org/index.php?static=203#staff] . Until June 23, 2006 he was policy director for the Free Enterprise Fund, a United States free market advocacy group [http://hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com/archives/2006/06/its_hard_out_th_1.html] . Prior to that, Kerpen was a policy analyst for the Club for Growth [http://www.cato.org/pubs/briefs/bp-080es.html] .

Policy debate

Kerpen is the publisher of several policy debate-related websites [http://www.fiatutopia.com] , including: [http://www.cross-x.com/ Cross-X.com] , the leading web site for high school debaters, and [http://www.ndtceda.com/ eDebate] , the discussion list for college policy debate. Cross-X.com sells weekly "Thursday Files" to high school debaters containing recent evidence discussing political issues.
