Catch Wrestling Council

Catch Wrestling Council

The Catch Wrestling Council was an independent wrestling promotion that started promoting wrestling shows in June 2003, just after TWA (The Wrestling Alliance) disbanded.

The Catch Wrestling Council was founded by TWA trainees, Brett Summers and "Big" Tim Burns and started off using veteran wrestlers like Phil Powers, Erin Angel, the 1st CWC All In Champion Andy Simmonz, also a former CWC All In Champion Eamon O'Neill, Charlie Rage, Darren Burridge, The Kartel, Martin Stone and The UK Kid.

It also pathed the way for wrestling careers for the likes of Jay Knox, Craig Matthew, Simon "Anacon" Collins, Paul Willis and Phil Hyde. All of the CWC originals have gone onto work for wrestling promotions in the South and South-West, as the company disbanded in February 2008.
