Tennessee State Route 86 is a highway located in extreme southeastern Shelby County, Tennessee and extreme southwestern Fayette County, Tennessee. The northern portion of the route is located within Collierville city limits. The entire route runs concurrently with U.S. Highway 72. SR 86 starts at the corner of West Poplar Avenue and heads southeast. It immediately passes over the Norfolk Southern Railway and continues as a two-lane road until it intersects with Tennessee State Route 385 From there it continues southeast until it briefly enters Fayette County and then ends at the Tennessee-Mississippi state line. The portion from TN 385 to the Mississippi border was recently widened from two lanes to four lanes with a center divider.
