Maria Luisa Immaculata was a member of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies by birth and of the House of Bourbon-Parma through her marriage to Prince Henry, Count of Bardi.

Early life

After the fall of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies during the Expedition of the Thousand, the royal family fled to Rome where they resided at the Quirinal Palace at the invitation of the Pope Pius IX. The princess remained a refugee at the palace until her marriage to Prince Henry of Bourbon-Parma.

Marriage

Maria Luisa Immaculata married Prince Henry, Count of Bardi, fourth child and youngest son of Charles III, Duke of Parma and his wife Princess Louise Marie Thérèse of France, on 25 November 1873 in Cannes, France. She died three months later after her marriage at the age of 19.
