Bauchi Light Railway

The Bauchi Light Railway was an extra narrow gauge railway built in 1914 to carry tin from Jos in Nigeria to the main line railgauge|1067 railway at Zaria. [ [http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/306282/Jos EB] ]

History

The line was 184km long. It also connected Bukuru. It was of railgauge|762.

Zaria is located to the north of Jos and the light railway was later rebuild with a shorter connection to the main railgauge|1067 railway to the south. [ [http://mikes.railhistory.railfan.net/r130.html Mikes Rail History] ]

Details

The rolling stock was equipped with ABC couplers.
