Richard Geisler

Richard Geisler (born, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American Democratic lobbyist in San Diego, California. He currently works as Vice President of J. Whalen Associates, Inc. The firm specializes in land-use, development, and real estate issues. [http://www.jwhalen.net] Geisler is a board member at the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation. Geisler came to public prominence in the Summer of 2008 for his involvement in the salary scandal at the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). [http://www.voiceofsandiego.org/voice_special_reports/sedc/] Geisler was one of the first SEDC board members to question SEDC's pay practices, which eventually lead to this dismissal of the organization's President and resignation of the organization's Attorney.
