Gail Dianne Bowen, née Bartholomew (born
22 September 1942 ) is a Canadianplaywright and writer of mystery novels.Born in Toronto,
Ontario , Bowen was educated at theUniversity of Toronto , theUniversity of Waterloo and theUniversity of Saskatchewan . She subsequently taught English inSaskatchewan , and was associate professor of English atFirst Nations University of Canada before retiring from teaching.Bowen's mystery novels feature
