Hay Island (Tasmania)

Hay Island is an island, with an area of 1.85 ha and a high point 78 m asl, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Swainson Island Group, lying close to the southern end of the western coast of Tasmania. Fauna

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species are the Short-tailed Shearwater (7500 pairs) and Fairy Prion (1-2000 pairs).
