Jason Brooks (born in Listowel, Ontario) is the current head coach and assistant general manager of the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League.
Playing career
Brooks played in the OHL with the Ottawa 67's in 1993-94, earning 11 points in 52 games with the club, followed by 3 points in 16 playoff games. Brooks was then moved to the London Knights, however, he would only appear in 45 games with the Knights in two seasons due to injury problems. Brooks graduated from the league in 1996, and enrolled at the University of Waterloo where he earned a degree in history.

Coaching career
After graduating from the University of Waterloo, Brooks went on to coach their hockey team, then returned home to coach the Listowel Cyclones Jr. "B" team. He joined the Guelph Storm in 2001-02 as a member of Jeff Jackson's coaching staff. In 2004-05, Brooks was named the assistant general manager of the Storm, then in 2007-08, he was promoted to associate coach. He guided Team Ontario to a gold medal as head coach of the team at the World Under 17 Hockey challenge.
In the summer of 2008, Storm head coach Dave Barr left the team to join the Colorado Avalanche as an assistant coach, and Guelph named Brooks as his replacement.
