HistoryHSC Medical Center, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a one-stop medical, heart and diagnostic center established in 2002.HSC was officially opened by the then Minister of Health Malaysia – Dato’ Chua Jui Meng on 18 February 2003.In a message to HSC Medical Center during the opening, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia – Tun Dr. Mahathir pointed out that: “ HSC’s approach to healthcare, with a focus on the early detection and treatment of Heart, Stroke & Cancer and the utilization of the latest technology to enable rapid, non-invasive and earlier detection of these condition is definitely in the right direction.”
FacilitiesHSC Medical has the first Siemens 16-Slice MSCT in Southeast Asia, and has the first upgrade to Siemens 64-Slice MSCT in Southeast Asia. HSC has performed the largest number of Coronary Angiograms studies in the world.The Cathlab (Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories) at HSC Medical Center is the first Siemens Flat Detector Cathlab installed in Southeast Asia. Procedures such as conventional coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty and stent implantation are carried out in the Cathlab on out-patient basis.
