The Markler Real Estate Management System as it is today was born out of a small custom contact management project for a Century 21 real estate agent in
Gatlinburg Tennessee in 2003. The custom web tool had been created for the sole use and purpose of capturing and storing contact information from website traffic. In late 2003 the broker of the Century 21 office approached the developer after seeing this basic tool and wanted to add many features that would work in an office environment and apply it to his office cite web | url=http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2007/oct/15/software-creator-brings-order-to-real-estate | title=Software Creator Brings Order to Real Estate Offices | author=Lois Reagan | month=November | year=2007 | accessdate=2007-10-15 | quote="I was looking for a document management system that stores documents online. I also wanted a transaction manager..."] . His goal was to get a systems in place that would address frustrations experienced with current inefficient systems. During the course of 1 year the management utility was developed and tested as a side project and deployed early 2005. Almost immediately after implementing this system the developer realized that he had developed something that other real estate professionals may be interested in. Less than a year later an updated marketable version was released for sale and named MARKLER. Within 3 months Markler was installed and running in multiple offices.
At the end of 2007 MARKLER was relocated to Atlanta Georgia. By late summer 2008 through a joint venture with Three Halves Holdings, Markler, LLC was renamed Markler Systems, LLC.
